You’re finally headed down hill! Look to your left (east) and see great examples of limestone layers – especially after the prairie is burned. Look under your feet for examples of flint.

 

You are in a valley between two hills. Notice how the weather feels. Is there less wind than you felt up on top of the hill? Are both sides of the trail the same or do the plants look different on each side?  If they look different, why do you think that is the case?
